Dear Whoever Spray Painted “Bad” On That Apartment Down The Street From Me,
Not terribly original, but it still made me happy. I love you.

My favorite street (?) art to date was a few years ago in Seattle. They bulldozed a commercial area in the university district and built a bunch of generic, out of place, colorful but in a bland and icky way townhouses. They were surrounded by an ugly super-new stained cedar fence that also looked stark and weird in that setting.
Someone tagged the fence with words that were hard to read in that super scripty tag style, but the whole bus I was riding sort of let out a collective chuckle when we simultaneously deciphered the words “Ugly Townhouses.” <3
